How it all began....

One day during the last awful winter I experienced in the windswept wilds of South Eastern Minnesota I decided to move to a warmer climate.
For most people this would have been an easy transition and I actually thought for someone who has moved across the Atlantic twice "how difficult can it be?"
What I should have been saying to myself was "Are you insane?" The reason that I began to wonder whether I was insane was the fact that I was giving up a very lucrative well paid employment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota (Mayoclinic.com) for goodness knew what position I would get in Missouri.
